ME

CLAIR HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY ARLENE JECH. THANK YOU ARLENE.

Hi! I’m Claire. I’m a 3 ½ year old female GSD with a soft coat and traditional black and tan markings. I’m a petite 45 pounds but I’m pretty spirited and strong for my size.

I was in the shelter with an injured leg and thank goodness my new friends at BAGSR got me out. They loved me through my recovery and have promised to help me find my very own family.

Something you should know about me is that I’m a tripawd. Yep….I have three legs instead of the usual four as the dog doc thought it would be best just to get rid of the leg that was giving me trouble. I get around just fine! My foster mom and dad say I have made the adjustment from four to three legs like a champ.

I have a calm demeanor and I just love hanging out with my humans. My favorite thing to do is to go for car rides! I especially love to ride to places where I can meet new people. My foster dad takes me to the hardware store, the pet food store, and to the mall. I also really enjoy walks around the neighborhood.

I’m super cuddly and affectionate and will gladly roll over for a belly rub.

I get along with other dogs just fine and get to live with some cool foster dog siblings in my foster home. I don’t like other dogs near my food though.

I think I’d be happy to live in a home with other dogs, and maybe even cats if they are polite and pleasant. I’d also be fine as an only dog as long I get to spend most of my time with my people.

I have lovely house manners and like to sleep in my crate at night and will even nap there during the day.

I’m not really into treats and I’m not super food motivated either…I’d much rather just be rewarded with affection! I know my basics like come, sit, stay and all that stuff so I won’t need much training. But we GSDs like to continue learning and I am super smart!

So, if you’re looking for a smaller sized GSD who is calm and super affectionate but still likes to get out and enjoy life, I could be your perfect match!

I’ll be waiting with my awesome fosters in Folsom.
