Benz is thrilled that Dennis Dougherty is his new food sponsor. Yumb and woof!

More than anything, Benz needs groceries.  And love. And a better life.  Fortunately, we have control over all of that, and he will be a happy camper soon.   We have learned that Benz LOVES children!

Benz was a stray with his sister Shyla.  They are very bonded and depend on each other, but we’ll be separating them soon so they can gain confidence and become more trusting of people.  They’re not fearful; they’re cautious.  We guess that they lived in their yard with little interaction, stimulation and affection.  However, even at their four day mark in rescue, they had become more playful and happy.  And they’re already learning people are F.U.N.

Now with us for about 2 months, Benz has blossomed.  He will snuggle on the couch or in bed; he will sometimes even give a little lick.  Benz’ new family must be patient with the transition to his new home; but once he knows his family, he will love them.

Benz is about 8 months old.  He has a lean frame, but he’s also very thin.  He’s about 50 pounds of bones but will start to gain weight and girth soon.

Benz is ready for his furever home.  In the meantime, he’s in a foster home with other dogs – small and large, learning basic obedience and reinforcing manners.  .
