Sienna is happy to announce that she’s sponsored by Peter Fortune. Woof and licks!

Sienna has just joined us from the shelter.  She didn’t have a great life, so we’re very happy she’s with us.

She is between 12 and 18 months.  She’s smaller than average, and shouldn’t grow much more.  Right now, her coat looks like heck; she has fairly severe flea dermatitis.  This occurs when a dog has severe flea infestation to the degree that the fleas destroy the fur and skin.  Sienna doesn’t have much fur on the back half of her; it’s interesting how scrawny the GSD looks with no fur on it.  None the less, we’ve helped a lot of dogs in this condition, and they always recover to the point of having a beautiful, healthy coat.  It will take 6 months for her to look her best, but it will happen without much trouble but with good care, nutrition and love.

Sienna appears to have been an inside dog as she finds a nice, soft spot to sleep.  She appears to be house trained, although she does sleep in a crate sometimes.  She is good with the other foster dogs she’s living with; sometimes it seems like she’d like to play, but we haven’t seen that from her yet.

Check back soon to learn more about her.  She’s in the east bay while we wait for her spay appointment.
