Maggie is an owner surrender to us; they got her when she was just a pup from a local AKC Breeder.  She is the traditional black and tan short coat, straight backed, strong dog.  Since in foster care, she has lost some excess weight, and she’s almost got her svelte body back.  She is looking great!

Maggie had lived in her yard most of the time.  However, she has acclimated to indoor living very nicely.  She LOVES the couch, but she’ll hop down when asked.  She hangs out in her crate at night or during the day with the door open.  She is completely house trained, she has beautiful manners, and she is completely trustworthy.

When we evaluated Maggie for our rescue, Maggie greeted the volunteers as if we were old friends.  She’s happy, extremely friendly and outgoing.  But she can also be submissive if handled too strongly or harshly.  She will be a wonderful addition to a family with little GSD experience; she will teach her people well about the breed.  She will benefit from the luxury of walks, social outings, going to pet stores, Home Depot and the like.  She will be a good ambassadog also.

Maggie is living in an east bay foster home, learning what indoor life is all about.
