Myka has just joined us from the shelter; she was a stray in San Leandro, so we don’t have a history on her. She’s about 2 years old and sports a black and tan short coat.
Myka was pretty stressed in the shelter, but when Evaluator Chris took her out to the play yard, she finally relaxed, and all she wanted was some affection and reassurance. She was spayed at the shelter and she’s almost ready for adoption… We’ll get to know her a bit and we’ll be able to tell you more about her.
When we brought her home, she was leery about meeting 15 month old Murfee. After a while, Myka was willing to cautiously engage with him; we’re certain she’ll be fine after she settles in. (At the shelter, she play bowed and ran around with two other dogs.) Myka stuck close to her foster mom for the first few hours, and then took a long nap in a crate.
Check back in a few days to learn more about Myka. She’s in an East Bay foster home.
