Donner is about 6-7 months old, GSD with a touch of something else. He was quite thin when arriving at BAGSR but after some TLC he’s now up to 52 lbs.

He is super sweet with people and dogs and loves to cuddle. Since he’s so good with other dogs he would be perfect in a home with another dog, but we think he’ll also do well as a single dog for a family with some experience with working breed dogs and some time to work with him to train and build his confidence, since he can be a bit timid in different situations. He’s very food motivated and also very smart so he should be a fun dog to train using positive reinforcement.

He’s currently living in a home with two cats and is doing fine with them. He has nice house manners, although when he’s not supervised he does tend to grab the occasional shoe or two. Donner sleeps well in a crate.

He walks nicely on leash; eager to explore and sniff the world, but doesn’t pull hard. He’s an excellent hiking partner.

Donner will be waiting with his foster sister in his foster home in Morgan Hill.
