Lyka is thrilled to be sponsored by Mark Peterson, thanks Mark!

Special thanks to Dennis Dougherty from Lyka who loves being sponsored!

Lyka is a traditional, large framed GSD.  She is 2 years old and wears a really nice black and red coat.

At the shelter, Lyka was everyone’s favorite.  She passed her evaluation easily; she enjoyed all the petting and touching, and only wanted attention.  On leash, it was apparent she wanted to go where her person went; it seems that she will follow her human everywhere. 🙂

Lyka is a big girl at 80 pounds and oh-so-nice.  She is very respectful of other dogs and wants no confrontations at all.  She would likely be a great only dog in her family.  She would also do well with another dog that is not too overbearing and too playful.  Lyka is a great hang-out dog.

It appears Lyka is only mildly interested in toys.  We’ll see how that develops as she settles in in her foster home.

Lyka is house trained and it would appear she knows how to warm a couch.  She takes treats gently and is very food motivated.   Lyka does jump up on people; we will be working on that while in foster.

Lyka is a very, very nice, all around dog.
