ME

Hi! My name is Bubba. I’m a 15 month old boy GSD and I weigh about 85 pounds. I am a sweet, calm, mild-mannered boy.

I’m looking for an adopter who will expose me to lots of new things. I haven’t gotten to see much of the world yet so there are some things that make me nervous but it’s just because I haven’t been socialized. My foster mom and dog sibling are teaching me things, introducing me to new experiences, and helping me make new friends.

I enjoy meeting new people and am quite friendly. I will likely also do well with dog savvy kids.

I like my foster dog sibling and am learning how to play with her. We play fetch together and have lots of fun. I still tire out before she does but I haven’t been having this kind of active fun for long. Soon I’m sure I’ll be able to keep up.

I am good when I see other dogs when we’re out and about. I don’t even react when I see those silly “littles” making a big fuss at me.

I walk pretty well on leash but would definitely benefit from training. I think it’s fair game to cross in front of my handler if I see something interesting when we’re out for a walk. I need to learn the basics and I would surely benefit from dog school. I’m a quick learner though and have good manners. I don’t jump on people, run into them or otherwise act crazy. I will be a stellar student and am very willing to learn.

I don’t love baths or grooming but will tolerate it without too much fuss.

I ride nicely in the car too.

Something you should know about me is that while my foster dog sibling goes a little nuts when someone comes to the door, I don’t make a peep. I let her do all the barking and just sit back and observe.

My foster mom is teaching me good house manners like not bolting out the door, staying out of the kitchen and basically understanding what I’m allowed to do inside.

My ideal adopter will be someone who will slowly and patiently show me the world I’ve missed so far. Because of my demeanor, I am sure to become an excellent pal around dog. I just need to get used to things like new surfaces on the ground, new sights and sounds and environments.

If I sound like a good match for you, I’ll be waiting with my foster mom in Oakley.
