ME

Hi! I’m Camila. I’m a healthy 3 year old black and tan GSD. I’m medium sized and weigh about 56 pounds.

My current family found me in a vacant lot and have been looking after me but they think it’s best for me if another family welcomes me into their home.

My new friends with BAGSR say that I am a sweet gentle girl. I love attention from people including the smaller humans. My home is pretty busy with people coming and going and I am friendly with everyone including kids. I am also good with other dogs and currently live with a pittie.

I enjoy playing with balls and like my stuffed toys.

I can be a bit shy and unsure in new situations but that’s just because I haven’t had the opportunity to be exposed to much yet.

I’ll need an adopter who understands dogs like me who are underexposed and who will work with me to expose me, at my pace, to new situations. Care and thoughtfulness must be used so I can build confidence at an appropriate speed. I’m sure to blossom as I learn about new things.

I’ve had minimal training but am a good listener nonetheless.

I come when I’m called even at the park where there are lots of ducks. I would make a fabulous hiking partner! I also use good manners in the car.

I would probably enjoy a confident playful dog who is not pushy. Such a sibling may help me confidently embrace new situations with ease.

I don’t get to come in the house at my current home but likely will pick right up on what is expected of me inside.

I do alarm bark when someone comes to the house.

I walk nicely on leash and choose to stay close to my humans while off leash.

Something you should know about me is that I am afraid of fireworks.

My new friends say that I am a medium energy dog with a soft, gentle temperament.

I hope you’d like to meet me!

This is a courtesy post and I’ll be waiting with my family in San Jose.
