My name is Abe. I’m a big boy GSD mixed with something….probably something BIG like Rottweiler or Great Dane. My ideal weight is about 95 pounds. I’m definitely a gentle giant with a soft, sweet demeanor and my foster family says that I am quite the gentleman.

I’m friendly and willingly approach people to say hello and solicit pets and attention. I’ll even snuggle my head right into you. To let you in on a little secret, I’m a ladies man. I so enjoy female human company. Other guys are cool too but the girls are where it’s at. 

I’ll need someone who work with me to build physical strength and stamina. I’m still on the thin side and need regular exercise to build some needed muscle. Leash walks would be ideal! I really enjoy them.

I have nice house manners and will sleep quietly all night beside your bed.

Sometimes unfamiliar, abrupt sounds startle me but as I settle in with my new family, I’m sure this will ease up. 

I think car rides are terrific. For the few trips I’ve had so far from my freedom ride to my foster home, I’ve needed help from the humans to lift me into the vehicles. I haven’t gotten the hang of jumping in yet but that will change quickly because I love to go and I ride politely.

I like other dogs and will initiate play. Because of my size, I should be supervised when meeting new dog friends.

Also because of my size, my ideal adopter/family is adults only or with kids older than 12 or so.

I am about 6 years old and have medium energy. I would be great to hang out with you while you work then take an evening stroll!

My new friends at BAGSR say that I will make a wonderful companion for some lucky adopter.
