ME

My name is Birdie! I’m a one and a half year old Shepsky looking for a new place to call home. I’m medium sized at about 60 pounds.

I am a sweet young girl with lots of spunk. I’m friendly with everyone including cats, dogs and kids. Of course with cats I need a proper introduction and some supervision to start but I currently live with 2 cats and we get along great. I love doggie day care where I get to play with other dogs. I might like a home with another playful dog or maybe some trips to doggie daycare to help me burn energy and stay social.

If you like to walk, I can keep up! If you like to jog, I can keep up. It’s actually kind of hard to wear me out. I may like to try out some agility work or other dog sports. I like to ride in the car however I should be safely tethered or crated. One, it will keep me safe and secure and two, because I like to ride shotgun and check out all the scenery from every angle. I’m a young active girl and true to form will sometimes play with things that I shouldn’t but I learn fast and want to please. I do love annoying squeaky toys and some good chews and that usually keeps me busy. I know some basic commands and a few fun tricks and would love to learn some more. I’m very treat motivated and smart!

So I have to tell you, I am a very social girl and I do like to see what’s on the other side of the fence. I know I’m not suppose to be so nosy but I can’t help it and will pop right over your fence if you are not paying attention. I know I can learn not to do this as it’s not really safe for me and I will definitely need some work on this but I’m sure we can work it out. Until then, I can not be left alone in the yard!!! I need an active family that keeps me mentally and physically busy. I do fine in a crate for short periods of time and can be left alone in it if you need to run some errands and can’t take me. Better yet, take me to doggie daycare instead as I have a blast playing with other nice dogs and it keeps me nice a social as well.

If you can keep up with me and want to share my zest for life, we’ll have tons of fun!

I’m hanging out at doggie day care in Windsor if you want to meet me.
