Meet Bodie, a handsome hunk of pure affection and love!

Bodie is about 3 years old and has a beautiful black and red coat. He LOVES attention and pets and will snuggle into you, putting his head on your lap and giving kisses (LOTS of kisses)….  He’s a very gentle soul, taking treats oh so carefully and will give you a quick thank you glance before eating. He always appreciates his breakfast and dinner!

He’d love to be great companion aka best friend for someone and is always happy to explore a new trail, go for a walk or a ride or just hang out with his family – he’s a very confident fellow when out and about. Bodie has not had any accidents in the home and sleeps quietly at night.

This boy is special and has a unique gait to prove it. Sometimes his hind end moves kind of like a trailer slightly fishtailing behind a truck.  He sways with a cute wiggle when walking and turning but can run like the wind and will play ball darn near forever. Bodie isn’t in any pain; he’s just a happy, playful guy who’s a tad bit different than the crowd. We had him x-rayed and the awesome news is that his spine, hips, pelvis and even his knees are all great. Best guess is that this might be from a previous injury and has caused a bit of a miscommunication from his head to his butt; we think it adds to his charm!

A home without a rambunctious dog that would bump into him or jump on him would be needed and no young children please. He’s comfortable with a quiet well-mannered dog companion and might be OK with cats; his foster Mom and her cat are still checking that out…
