Hi! I’m Chaka. I’m a healthy and active 3-year-old female GSD and I weigh 55lbs. 

I’m a sweet and curious girl, but can be a bit shy when meeting new people. Don’t worry, I warm up quickly. I currently spend most of my time outside in the yard, so I’m looking for someone to show me what it’s like to be included in outings and to be an active member of the family. 

I take treats nicely and am eager to please. I haven’t had much formal training, but I’m a quick study. It will be really fun to go to dog school together!

I love to play – my favorite toys are balls and frisbees. I’ll even drop the ball at your feet so we can keep the game going. I love walks and would be happy to explore the neighborhood with you. I get very excited and sometimes pull, so I’ll need some work on my leash manners. 

I like my dog friends and am fine meeting dogs of all sizes. Did I mention I even like cats! I currently live with a kitty friend and we sometimes cuddle after play time. 

In true GSD form, I will alarm bark to let you know someone has come to the house. 

I’d do best in a home with a patient and experienced leader that will help me build my confidence, continue my training and teach me about the world. 

I can’t wait to meet you! I’ll be waiting in Oakland.
