Dakota is kindly sponsored by Baglan Rhymes and she is very grateful!
Dakota just joined us from a north bay shelter, where her owner dropped her off. Upon evaluation, we didn’t hesitate to take her because she’s such a nice girl. While she is quite overweight, she had a pep in her step and a gleam in her eye; she is happy!
This is what we have been told about Dakota: She’s 7 years old and spayed, and she lived with a male Labrador, free-range chickens and three children from age 6-12. Apparently her family was moving and couldn’t take her with them.
What we know about her is that she is really good with other dogs. She fit right in in her foster home with multiple male and female dogs. She walked into the back yard as if it were her own. When she gets over her kennel cough, she will be ready to go to her forever home.
Dakota is a great hang-out dog. We don’t know how often she was able to go on walks, but we recommend a good exercise buddy for her so she can lose some weight and get to a healthy weight. She is a level 2 dog now and will possibly be a level 1… She’s in the east bay.
