Galen just announced his new global food sponsorship deal with Mark Peterson!

Galen is a very gentle dog.  He’s quiet to approach strangers but loves his people.  Galen is between 12 and 18 months old; he was a stray in San Leandro.

When Galen came home from the shelter, he walked into his foster home and met test kitty and a bunch of dogs.  He was allowed to roam free in the house, meeting all the kitties, too, and he was purrfect with all of them.  He has just begun to play with other dogs, running beside them, after them and leading them.  It’s fun to see him get comfortable with all the dogs he’s met.

Galen is trustworthy in the house but doesn’t ask to go out yet.  Once he has pottied outside, he goes right to the door to come in.  He has very nice manners inside and out, sleeps quietly in a crate at night, and sometimes alarm barks.  The more he becomes comfortable, we expect he’ll unfold nicely as a really happy and outgoing dog.  While he isn’t obedience trained, he is a dog that doesn’t need harsh or forceful correction.

Galen is a level 2 dog in the east bay.
