KELLY
September 22, 2018
German Shepherd/Husky?? SPAYED female, 1 year and 51 pounds. Update 9/22: Kelly was adopted and lived in her new home for almost 2 months. However her play style was much too ruff for her canine housemate, of a similar size, so she has come back to us to look for a new home. Upon her return we found her submissive on leash with both a male and female dog. we will be having her in our off leash play group to get more information.
UPDATE: We took this beautiful dog out for a romp and photo shoot, and here’s what we observed: Kelly was shy and cautious. She has a luxurious coat and those ears!! Kelly liked being close to the volunteers, but she was nervous. Here’s what another volunteer had to say about Kelly and King: “Love them! They are so smitten with one another. When I walked by the play yard with King – sweet Kelly went from shy and timid to super excited and happy. King kept stopping every few feet to look back at her! I believe they are very bonded.”
Kelly came to the shelter with a male friend–King. She’s a shy dog, curious about her surroundings. During her evaluation, she was funny with our male tester dog, River. Kelly is a vocal girl, and overall pretty mellow. Right now she is not playful. And although she is shy, Kelly likes to be around people and enjoys attention. As we get to know Kelly more, we will post updates–so check back soon, or come to the shelter and meet this beautiful dog.
