After the birth of her babies, kendall displayed extreme OCD with flies and anything she could find to chase.  It was so severe that nothing could get in the way – people, furniture, her own pups, etc.  In speaking for OAS, they have a resource in the Woodland area where Kendall will go.

We partnered with a few other rescues to take the puppies.  We could find no foster homes to take the babies after 8 weeks, and thus we’d not be able to help them.

As you can see, Kendall is a new mommy.  On 7/31/14, she had 8 puppies born to her at the Oakland shelter.  We brought them into rescue, where they will be well cared for by Kendall, and then the rest of us.  Shortly after the puppies are weaned in early September, they will go into foster homes.  Kendall will have a few weeks off to nap, lounge in the sun, eat ice cream and bon bons and whatever else she would like to do.  In October, she will be spayed and ready for adoption.  

If you are interested in Kendall prior to her spay, please let us know.  We’d love for her to be able to go to her furever home as early as possible as a foster dog until she can be legally adopted after spay.

Kendall is a very good mommy dog.  She’s also very sweet with people, letting us handle her pups any time, AND she loves to be petted.  Kendall will be in the north bay for the time being.
