Koenig is proud to announce his new sponsorship deal with Sue Leong – woof!

Looking for a beautiful, size L, 10 month old GSD?  He’s tall, dark and handsome and doesn’t take life very seriously.

Koenig, meaning King, was named by the Berkeley shelter.  They really liked this guy and wanted us to take him so that he’d get exactly what he needs.

Koenig is a big, strong guy; he walks nicely with slight correction on a prong.  He has some of his manners under his collar, but he does jump up on people; therefore he should not go to a home with small children.

You’ve seen dogs with presence; well, Koenig certainly has presence by size and color.  But he’s really a nice guy.  He does need training and leadership, but with the right touch, he’ll be an excellent family member.  He is house trained and sleeps in a crate at night.  He does alarm bark and when bored can bark a bit too much; he needs a lot of exercise to keep his mind busy and tired.

Koenig is a ‘puppy’ – a level 4 dog.  He is well socialized and is very sound.  The most important thing for Koenig to have him in life is a good leader to help make him a well-mannered, big dog.

Koenig is enjoying life with other foster dogs – males and females.  He does enjoy ruff and tumbling with some of the dogs, but doesn’t bother those that don’t like that play style.  He hasn’t been tested with Test Kitty.
