Our sweet and gentle Leo Bear would love to give a thank you paw to Daniel C for sponsoring his yummy treats. Thanks Daniel!!

Leo Bear has another kind sponsor!! Thank you Lia, Alice and John for sending LB some virtual love.

Leo Bear has ANOTHER sponsor and we agree, he’s adorable and such a good boy. Thanks Edith B for sponsoring this sweet senior.

Aww, thanks Catherine F for sponsoring Leo Bear. He’s such a nice gentle senior boy. We just know he will get a loving home soon.

Hi! I’m Leo Bear. I’m an 11 year old gentleman looking for a new place to call home.

I’m very sweet and affectionate with my humans and love to play with my canine foster brother. I really enjoy being with my people and will follow them around to be close to them. I’m also quite playful and especially love tennis balls and squeaky toys but my favorite activity is just hanging out with my people. A canine sibling to keep me company when my humans are busy would be great.

Something you should know about me is that I don’t hear well. I rely on my nose and eyes to make up for that but will need a special adopter who will teach me things using touch, sight and smell.

I haven’t met many cats so I don’t know how I’d do with them.

I would love an adopter who can spend plenty of time with me and help me feel safe in my new home.

I’m pretty good on leash even though I likely have never had the chance to get out and about. I pull a little when I see a dog I want to meet but I don’t act crazy.  I would really enjoy regular leisurely strolls. My joints do get stiff and sore so I’ll need just the right amount of exercise. And, I’ll need comfy beds and blankets. I’ll also benefit from building up some strength especially in my back legs.

I do fine in the car too and I have nice house manners. For a while I’ll need some TLC but if you’re looking for a low key companion to keep you company, I just may be the perfect match. I’ll be waiting with my foster mom in Oakland.
