Mercy is a stunning and sociable, 2 year old purebred female German Shepherd. She has had some basic training, is house-trained, is leash-trained (but pulls), and enjoys rides in the car.

During her evaluation, she was very friendly when meeting the evaluator and took treats gently as well. She was was interested in meeting other dogs and was eager to pull towards them with a low tail wag for sniffing.
Mercy has a normal energy level for a 2 year old Shepherd and will do best in an home with an opportunity to go on outings and take long walks/jogs/hikes with her new family. We suspect she will be good with children, but she is large and still jumps to greet people. For this reason, we recommend kids over age 5 so that they will not get accidentally knocked over.
Outside of the home Mercy is good with many types of dogs, and she is a regular at Fort Funston.
In the home Mercy prefers to have her people all to herself and so needs to find a home where she can be the only dog.
Mercy is a courtesy posting and currently lives in Fairfield, we are looking for a foster home for her.
