Merlin is a very special dog.  He is uber gentle and sweet.  He’s quiet, house trained and likes to go for walks and rides in the car.  He is good with other dogs, although he doesn’t play with them.  And he could not be better with people.  He is just a super-d-duper dog.

We believe Merlin was a stray due to his medical problems.  See, we discovered he has seizures.  And, we believe his eyesight and hearing has been slightly affected as a result.  But wait, please keep reading about this sweetheart.  Merlin is not blind, and he is not deaf; he can see things, just not clearly.  He can hear, but it’s not always 100%.  He is gentle, and friendly, just like a special friend.

Merlin is sweet to everyone and everything.  He deserves a very loving home where he will be allowed to hang out, pal with children or other folks, or just lounge in the house or yard.  He will be a quiet but affectionate companion.  He has the qualities of a therapy dog, loving a soft touch and kind words.  If YOU want a gentle and kind companion, who doesn’t ask for much, please consider Merlin.  He deserves to be in his furever home with his furever family.

Merlin is about 3 years old.  We got him to the vet as soon as we knew about his seizures.  He is on anti-seizure meds, twice daily, and he has been seizure free since starting his meds.  The medication is very inexpensive and he has no trouble gobbling up his meds in his food.

Merlin has nice house manners* and does not sleep in a crate at night.  He doesn’t like his crate, so we would not expect him to have to used one in his new home.  He’s not a barker, and he doesn’t require much from anyone. She’s just a sweet, hangout dog.  *In his previous life he perfected the sport of counter surfing.  He does prefer human food to ‘dog’ food. 🙂

Merlin is a level 2 dog in the east bay.  Please do not discount Merlin due to his medical issues; he is living large and happy.  His new family will love him!
