Mystic is now Lady and doing really well. We just received this lovely picture. She has become a goodwill ambassador for BAGSR with people asking her about us and being referred to our program. How cool is that?
Mystic was adopted today and will be living in gorgeous surroundings near the wine country!
Today we drove to a shelter several hours north and met Mystic. We had seen her last week and needed to wait a few days to see if she was claimed. The shelter team are quite wonderful, kept us in touch and really want their dogs to succeed.
She is a gorgeous one year old girl who was naturally shy at first (any shelter is not a not happy environments for a dog) and then very affectionate. We have only known her for a few hours and think she needs some works on her manners with other dogs.
her next steps are for us to work with her and for her to be spayed.
At this stage you’ll need to be an experienced handler who will be prepared to work with Mystic to introduce her to new experiences, dogs and people. She is gorgeous and is going to be a great girl with a few weeks of work. However, she is NOT for the first time GSD/working breed owner. Good news for cat owners. The shelter has many cats in their lobby and Mystic just stood and stared. We took her right up to the cats and she had no reaction at all. We will be introducing her to our professional test kitty over the next few days. You can meet test kitty HERE.
