Quinda (Kin-duh) is a 9-year old Sable GSD, originally imported from Germany. She is up to date on vaccinations, and will be spayed/chipped prior to adoption. Her disposition is friendly and outgoing with strangers and house guests. You’ll be glad to know that she does alarm bark on her home territory. When we first received her she was over weight, but she has lost 10 pounds already and is on her way to fitness. She currently weighs 80 pounds and it’s coming down by a pound a week.
During her evaluation, she met several adults and children and was appropriate and friendly with all of them. She has interacted with several children in her previous home and they report that she is appropriate and gentle with visiting children.
She is a sweet dog. She looks to her handler for direction and wants to please.
Quinda has completed basic obedience, is house-trained, trustworthy in the home alone. Her previous owner described her as very relaxed after her walks or fetch sessions.
She is fine with cats and showed no interest.
An ideal home for Quinda would include: an experienced GSD adopter who is active and can provide Quinda with the opportunity to accompany the family on outdoor adventures (and help her trim her figure).
Quinda, is a family dog who has an alert, active, curious disposition for a 9-year old dog. She’s anticipating a few more good years of romping and ball play, so please don’t think this girl is ready to give up on the future!

Adopt in 4 easy steps
1) Complete the application – it takes about 5 minutes you’ll tell us about yourself. This helps us understand the type of dog that you are looking for.
2) We contact you – You’ll hear from us within hours! One of our adoption counselors will call you and have a chat about your application. They will ask you to text some pictures of your fencing and gates.
3) Dog shopping! – Check our website and Facebook page every day! The moment you see a dog that you are interested in you’ll contact your adoption counselor.
4) Adopt your new friend – We’ll arrange for you to meet the dog. If it all goes well, you will be able to adopt your dog, there and then, and take your dog home! Adoption fees are $300 for adults over 12 months and $350 under 12 months.
