Quinnie is about a year old, has a black and tan thinner body. She has yet to fill out and in a year she should reach about 60 pounds. She has a quiet, sweet personality.
When Quinnie entered the shelter, she was scared to death but kept her sweet nature. She refused to walk on a leash; the only way to get her out of her kennel was to hold her front legs up and walk her out on her hind feet. Yes, strange, but at least she trusted enough to be in this vulnerable position. After a week of gentle coaxing, she was able to walk on leash with any person. We are excited to learn more about Quinnie as she unfolds even more.
Upon going to her foster home, she met a few resident dogs, where she fit in very nicely. We’ll let her settle in a bit until she is exposed to the rough and tumble players. We did introduce her to Professional Test Kitty. She completely ignored little boy kitty, but we’ll retest her when she feels more comfortable.
Quinnie just joined us. Check back soon to learn more about her.
