SPONSOR
ME

Big Beautiful Redd has a new sponsor!!!!  Thanks so much, TORAUN M – he is a treat hound but only for the high value treats of course.

My name is Redd! I’m a 1 year old friendly, affectionate GSD/Belgian Malinois mix and I weigh about 80 pounds.

My mix of breeds may seem like a lot of dog however I’m not high energy crazy. I’m not really driven by toys or balls but I can be tempted with treats as long as they are the really yummy kind…not to be picky but dog biscuits or plain kibble as treats are not really my thing.

What I like best is to be with my person. I LOVE attention and like to lean into you. If you let me, I will be in your lap in a hot second. I do need an active lifestyle though, and would probably enjoy some fun dog games, hiking and maybe some swimming. I like to be out-and-about and I think I have pretty good manners. I don’t act silly on my leash and meet other dogs well. If the other dog is too excited and barky (I am a big handsome boy and dogs like to meet me) I can match the excitement but if my human tells me to chill I do (I love my humans).

I can be just a tad cautious when first meeting strangers on leash but I just need a minute to say hi on my own then we’re friends

I have a few basics like sit and down and my recall is pretty good – mainly because I don’t go too far from my human friends. I will be super fun to train! My new friends say that you must know my breeds very well and be willing to spend time working with me and continuing my training and socialization using only positive methods. I still jump up a bit but just need more gentle training.

I ride nicely in the car but still need a little slow encouragement to get in. I’m learning that the car means FUN and time with my humans so it’s getting easier for me. I’ve done great when I’ve gone on field trips to stores and parks. I also did really well at the dog doc where they said I was very sweet. I have been great with teenaged kids but don’t recall being around small children.

If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting with my friends in Santa Rosa.
