ME

Hi! I’m Rex. I’m a healthy, 11 month old, red and black GSD. I’m a big boy at about 86 pounds.

I’m a big, silly, and um…untrained puppy. Well I actually did go away to school although I don’t get to practice what I learned because my family is so busy. But I’ll be lots of fun for someone who wants to work with me and I’m sure it will all come back to me in no time.

I’m friendly and exuberant and I sometimes jump up with excitement. I’ll need someone who wants to help me burn my excess energy. I’m sure I’d love to jog or hike with my new family. I’d do great with an active lifestyle that includes daily physical and mental activities.

I like other dogs but because of my energy I may be annoying to some. I am pretty good on leash and don’t pay attention to other dogs when I go out for a walk. I do pull a little but that will get better as I am able to get out and about more and practice.

I haven’t been exposed to many cats so I’m not sure how I would like them.

I have pretty good house manners and know to go outside to go potty.

I’m looking for an adopter that has big working dog experience who will teach me the things that all good dogs should know. Because of my size and the facts that I am still so young and need more training, a home without small kids would be best for me.

If you’re looking for some fun and want a lively new companion, we’ll get along famously!

This is a courtesy post and I’ll be waiting with my family in Novato.
