Rocco is a stunning 2 year old long haired male who was imported from Germany from SchH working lineage.

Looks can be deceptive. This is a dog that will be epic with the right owner and a real problem for the wrong owner.

So let’s talk about the right owner.

You’d have GSD experience and understand that aloof means aloof and not cuddly friendly. You will not have children as Rocco does not tolerate silliness. His previous owner was a single guy and he seems to respond better to men than women. Rocco is not a first time German Shepherd. He will thrive with mental and physical stimulation every day.

What about Rocco?

He’s stunning, but you can see that! He is aloof, wants to smell everything. He is trained in German and his main interest is having his nose to the ground. However he does not have great focus. He is moderately interested in balls and toys. His obedience training is excellent. He is good with other dogs but has prey drive with cats, chickens, etc. He is very protective of his home and owner.  

Both Marin Humane and BAGSR have evaluated Rocco and come to the same conclusion.
