I’m Rocky-a classic black and tan older guy. I’m a healthy 10 year old GSD and weigh about 90 pounds. My owner sadly passed away so I’m hoping to find a nice home where I can spend my golden years. 

So here’s a little bit about me.

I’m independent, calm and relaxed and it shows that I have some experience under my belt. I’m friendly but don’t get crazy around people like the younger boys do. I don’t know very much obedience-just the basics so some brush up classes would be great. I would be happy to learn some new things. I’ll show you an older dog can learn new tricks…  especially if we work with treats! Since my old friend passed away, I haven’t really had someone to pay a lot of attention to me and insist I do what I’m told. But, I’m sure I’ll quickly get back on track.

I really love to go for walks and practice makes perfect when walking with a leash. We could come to be nice strolling buddies. This time of year is beautiful to get out and enjoy the weather…don’t you think? 

I am also content to hang around the house and have very nice house manners.  

I like other dogs and would fit in nicely with another medium –large sized dog or I can be an only dog. I like to chase small critters so small dogs or cats may be a bit much for me. 

In the past, I’ve had some issues with getting car sick so I’m not sure how I would do in the car these days….

I do believe something wonderful is about to happen…….I’ll be waiting in Vacaville.
