My name is Russia. I’m a healthy six and a half year old black and tan boy GSD; I weigh about 80 pounds. My family moved and decided not to take me. Lucky for me I was introduced to the awesome people at BAGSR who offered to take me in and help me find a new family.

I am a friendly boy and have an even-keeled disposition. I love to play ball and would probably enjoy a sport where I can leap after a ball…maybe something like dock diving! I swim like a fish.

I’m athletic and really enjoy the outdoors. I would adore an active family. Do you like to jog or hike? I would thrive in a family that includes me in this kind of activity.

I’m used to living on a large property and I have beautiful house manners too. In true GSD fashion, I will alarm bark when a stranger approaches my home.

I don’t have experience with cats. I also haven’t met many children. Given my overall amiable demeanor, I will likely be really good with respectful children. Something you should know about me is that I am allergic to chicken and chicken by-products so my diet must not include anything chicken related. I’m not super food motivated but am very smart – I’m a good listener and have good instincts for doing the right thing.

I’m just an all-around great boy and can’t wait to settle in with my new family.

My foster dad and Labrador foster brother will be looking after me in Sacramento. Hope to meet you!
