ME

Hi! I’m Scout. I’m a black and tan GSD and am about 12 months old. I’m on the smaller side at about 60 pounds.

I’m a friendly boy and am looking for an adopter that will include me in activities and make me part of the family.

I do well on leash and know some basics but will benefit from more training and I’m sure I will enjoy dog school. I still jump up sometimes when I want to say hi but I am a good listener and am eager to please.

I love playing ball and will do anything you ask if I know you will throw it again….and again. I can be a bit grabby with the ball because I get pretty excited when I’m playing. I also like chew toys.

I previously lived with kids and am good with them. I might be a bit much for really young kids though just because of my energy level and need for more training.

I’m ok in the house but need to be supervised so I don’t take toys that don’t belong to me. I still like to chew so would love to have lots of chew toys of my own.

I don’t mind a crate and like to sleep in my crate at night.

I am appropriate around other dogs big and small but haven’t met any cats yet so I’m not sure if I’d like them.

In true GSD fashion, I will alarm bark if I hear something unusual and when someone approaches the house. I settle down as soon as I know all is well.

I really would make a terrific companion for an adopter who wants to spend time with me and provide me with appropriate exercise and mental stimulation.

I rode nicely in the car to Santa Rosa where I will be waiting for my new family. I hope to meet you!
