Woot woot! Sheila is being sponsored by Arlene Jech, thank you so much!

Hi! I’m Sheila. I’m a six and a half year old girl GSD.  I’m a little on the chubby side and weigh about….um…100 pounds. I am a healthy girl but I do need to lose about 20 pounds. My friends at BAGSR say I still have plenty of energy for walks…which I love!

At my foster home I live with two other GSDs. I get along with the boy because he pretty much does what I ask, but I don’t like the bossy girl.  I would be great as an only dog; I love to stick close to my people. I’d probably also be fine in a home with a submissive dog sibling that’s about my size or bigger. Small dogs and cats might be too fun for me to chase so they may not be such a good idea. I can be possessive of my food especially around other dogs.

I have a sweet, low-key disposition and am friendly and affectionate. I like kids too. I have very nice house manners and I know basic obedience. I’m also pretty good on leash. I’m sure to get better cause I’m hoping for a family that will take me out on lots of walks. I am a bit dog reactive when I’m on leash but with some practice, training and even dog school, I’m sure to get better about that.

Something you should know about me is that I like to swim!

I got to go camping with my foster family and I loved it and did great. I will be a fabulous companion for someone…and maybe you have a few pounds to lose too-haha. Forget the treadmill, let’s go for a walk!

This is a courtesy posting. I’ll be waiting with my family in Hidden Valley Lake.
