ME

Spunky little boy Snow says THANKS to ASHLEY M for sponsoring him!  He needs more toys…… 🙂

Hi! My name is Snow. I’m a cattle dog/border collie/German Shepherd Dog mix and I’m compact size at about 40 pounds.

I’m friendly, social and eager to please. I’m also a confident pup that gets very attached to my person very quickly. I’ll need a confident handler who will insist that I know that I don’t need to be in charge of my humans. For now, my friends say small kids may be too much for me so I will be looking for an adult only home.

Something you should know about me is that I really don’t like to be alone so my friends at BAGSR say that I must have a canine sibling. That way, when my people go out and leave us behind, I’ll feel comfortable. I have very nice house manners and sleep comfortably through the night with my foster mom and foster siblings. Occasionally I have participated in unacceptable puppy antics like digging in the yard where I wasn’t supposed to-haha.

I have used a crate before but I don’t really like it.

I will alarm bark when I hear something unusual or when someone comes to the house.

I love to go in the car for adventures or errands. I also enjoy balls and chewing on Nylabones or real bones. I think fetch is fun and also going on walks and playing off leash at the lake. I also like stuffed animals.

I am very interested in squirrels; in fact, one of my pastimes is to chase them so I may not do well with cats or other small critters.

I have normal energy for a pup my age and breeds. I get to go for a 4 mile walk every day and play fetch in the backyard a couple of times a day. I am polite on leash; I don’t bark or lunge at other dogs and walk best with a front clip harness. I’ll need regular, vigorous daily exercise to keep my body and mind healthy. My foster mom thinks I would be great at agility and maybe even herding. I’m super athletic and agile. I’m working on basic obedience skills too.

My foster mom and foster dog siblings adore me! I am looking for my very own family though. If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting in Granite Bay.
