ME

I’m Tippy! My silly new friends thought it would be pretty funny to call me that since my ear tips are missing. I have a good sense of humor though so I’m good with it.

I’m a 3 year old GSD and I weigh about 72 pounds. I have cool black and red coat of medium thickness.

I’m a playful boy and am good with dogs big and small. I would do great with a dog sibling but don’t necessarily need one.

I allow all over handling with no problem and do well with grooming too.

I like to play ball and sometimes will even bring it back-haha. When I get amped up, I can be jumpy and mouthy so my new people are probably going to want to work with me on that even though to me it’s all in good fun. For this reason, I should probably not go to a family with small kids. I do like kids though.

I am very people friendly. I like to meet new friends and say hello to everyone I see. I am polite out in busy public places. I also do well on leash and am non-reactive toward other dogs; I pass them politely. I still pull on leash sometimes but this will get better with practice for sure.

I love using my nose and have it to the ground quite often when I’m out and about.

I’d love an active family who will include me in lots of outings and maybe even get involved in some dogs sports where I can use my nose.

I’m a quick study and have learned lots of commands in nothing flat. I’m a typical GSD and will bond quickly and closely with my new people.

Something you should know about me is that I will thrive with an active family who will take me along on lots of adventures. I’m always ready to jump in the car and go! I’ll make a terrific companion for hiking, camping, exploring or any other dog friendly activity.

I hope I sound like a fun match! If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting in Santa Rosa.
